SmokeWorks, Cambridge

IMG_0228

We recently had the pleasure of visiting SmokeWorks in Cambridge, as they had kindly invited us to come and check it out. So it was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a trip to Cambridge to combine food and culture, who doesn’t love a trip to the Fitzwilliam Museum?

As many parents will know, it is always hard to find a restaurant that caters for everyone’s tastes. On this occasion, it was two adults and five kids, ranging in age from 7 – 14, with one veggie.

Networking why?

Networking4

I am often asked why I started Grub Club Cambridge and the answer is simple. I was feed up of going to networking events that were full of life coaches and accountants (nothing against either of them). I wanted to go to networking events that served wonderful food and were specifically focused on the food industry. Having worked in the food industry for a number of years I felt that there was a gap in the market for our events.

Mayo just got even better….

Foraging Fox Mayo

We’ve been great fans of Foraging Fox for some time now – we love how their innovation in flavour really excites the condiments sector. Since launching the multi award-winning Beetroot Ketchups in 2015, Foraging Fox has gone from strength to strength, and 2018 has been a very exciting year as they launched their first range of three natural flavoured mayos.

World Gin Day – Gin Review

WorldGinDay2018
We enjoyed a team celebration of gin for World Gin Day this year, as we were blessed with some lovely sunny weather, it seemed a wonderful reason for a BBQ and gin tasting. As World Gin Day celebrates its 10th-year, us consumers are certainly showing an increasing appetite for all things gin.  So, it comes as no suprise that the gin market is still growing and is now worth an astonishing £1.9 billion.
