SAFFRON GRANGE VINEYARD TOUR

What an incredible, delicious and educational evening we enjoyed in Saffron Walden last week. Thank you to our wonderful hosts at Saffron Grange, Nick, Amy, Sophie and the rest of the team who were absolutely amazing.  Sophie left no stone unturned when giving us the history of the vineyard, as we learned about the important stages during growth, the development and year-round care of the vines as well as the importance of the chalk lines beneath the vineyard.

Once we were back in the warmth, we were treated to a trio of sparkling wines to taste. Advising us how to do this properly was Nick, who’s parents started the vineyard back in 2008. Each wine was incredibly different and thoroughly enjoyed by each attendee.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Waffle & Co for catering on the evening, Tori and team served up a delicious main and dessert from their food truck whilst all attendees mingled and chatted. Service was speedy and the food was incredible!

Thank you to all those who attended, we hope you made some valuable connections and you all keep the conversations flowing.

Remember, Harvest 2023 will commence very soon at Saffron Grange. To be part of this experience (don’t worry, full training will be given) you can volunteer for one of more days. As a thank you for volunteering you will be given a free lunch and glass of sparkling wine. This year the team have experienced a bumper crop so your help would be very much appreciated.
